Big, boxy, heavy, wood-panelled, the cathode ray tube TV’s of our GenX childhood were definitely NOT something you would hang over your fireplace.

No remote control, long before TV went 24-hours-a-day, channels would display the infamous NO SIGNAL colour pattern overnight… until it was time to start the day with the national anthem!
